A few years ago my mom and I found a small quote's shop, I was in heaven.  We found all sorts of inspiration, but this saying got both of us laughing, it has good memories attached. I used a modern Uncial alphabet over a very light watercolor door background.  Since ink doesn't flow very well over a watercolored surfaced I used colored pencils, Prismacolor to be exact.  I really enjoy the effect of the gradual dulling colored pencil tip.

Here is a small progression of the project, color testing, and background studies, watercolor pencils didn't pop as much, so I used the waxed kind.
