Families
In college, I took a museum framing class. I still have a few mat boards I cut for practice and frames I made hang around my house.I had this small gold frame with a fun little mat that I was saving for something special. My daughter made it so when she was a toddler, she scribbled all over it. I wasn't happy, but then it fit this part of a song I love. It was meant to be.
We sat and colored the scribbles with color pencils, a great memory I treasure. I wrote the FAMILIES part with a resist and then painted a watercolor wash of purples and magenta. The small letters came last with a white pen.
My family is my inspiration, my best school, my hardest lessons, my all. A gift from above.
