This is the first of a set of 3 winter holiday cards. 

The house and motives were sketched on my tablet on paper, Intuous Pro, with the pen that transfers it to digital format.  I started in Illustrator and moved to Photoshop for the final touches.  

I am plugging along on my classes and the brief for this assignment was to create a Christmas card based on holiday cookies.  After a few drawing explorations, I felt I wanted to depict intricate "frosted" gingerbread houses.  This makes me think of the family trees I have drawn, too.  I love getting lost in all those details within a big shape.

Today it snowed! so even though it is not officially winter, HAPPY WINTER TO YOU!
