Don't Forget Me, Forget-Me-Nots
My good friend Melissa, moved to Texas a few years back. As a parting gift, she gave me a little grow kit of Forget-Me-Not flowers. I loved the gift and the sentiment. We also moved and I moved the little pot with me, still waiting to be started. So in homage of that kit, and because I haven’t forgotten you, friend, here is a big bouquet of Forget-Me-Nots.

I really enjoy negative painting, which is painting around the object rather than the object itself. It makes it a fun puzzle to solve. That technique combined with the many printmaking flowers I was admiring bore this idea. Some see a batik style, others a little printmaking, while there is even some lacework in the butterfly. So it is a combination of many experiences.
