Good luck charms

Prompted in an assignment to make patterns out of good luck charms, I was amazed at the array and variety of my findings.  As always I had so much fun in the research and learned a lot about other cultures.

My first choice to tackle was the elephant as a symbol of strenght, power, and wisdom.  In general good luck in many places in Asia.  

My elephant is strong, powerful and wise, in training.  It will later be used to create a pattern for baby/child clothing.  He has many friends, brothers, and sisters that you will get to meet.

But for now here are her immediate family playmates:
